In many cases, original earth floors have been replaced with concrete slabs under the assumption that this would prevent rising dampness. Unfortunately, this often leads to trapped moisture beneath the slab that travels up the walls, resulting in failing plasters and paint.
Our approach is to remove the concrete slab and replace it with a naturally insulating anti-wicking sub-layer topped with a limecrete slab.
